An elderly woman meets a younger version of herself as a Catrina. Both faces are flanked by impressions of mother of pearl inlay motifs of butterflies – a tribute to the afterlife. In today’s society that increasingly chases youth, this piece honors experience and wisdom that comes with time.​ This piece invites you to hold a mirror to your life: If your Catrina were telling the story, what would she say?

Una mujer mayor se encuentra con una versión más joven de sí misma, representada como una Catrina. Ambos rostros están flanqueados por huellas de motivos de mariposas con incrustaciones de nácar: un homenaje a la vida después de la muerte. En una sociedad que persigue cada vez más la juventud, esta obra honra la experiencia y la sabiduría que llegan con el tiempo.
